Dimapur: The healthcare management in Nagaland will from now be as per the Indian Public Health Standard (IPHS) norms.
Informing this at a review meeting of the programmes and activities under the National Health Mission (NHM) in Kohima at the conference hall of the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare in Kohima, commissioner and secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department V Kezo said as a fraternity the department needs to come together, discuss issues, make efforts and have a clear vision and goal, an official release said on Friday.

He reminded everyone in the department to stay focused while reiterating the importance of the department in placing issues of importance to the authorities concerned so that they can actively get involved in taking forward the activities of the department.
Addressing the meeting, Health and Family Welfare Minister P Paiwang Konyak said the financial allocations should be made as per the needs and priorities of the various programmes.
He sought timely sharing of activities updates from the different programme officers so that everyone could put their heads together for the successful implementation of the health programmes in the state.

Principal director of the department Dr E Motsuthung Patton said, “Unless we achieve our targets and improve our indicators, the state will not receive the complete funds from the Government of India which will hamper the programme implementation.”
The mission director of, the National Health Mission, Nagaland, Dr Akuo Sorhie gave an overview of the mission at the meeting.
