Tripura police and the state Health department have traced 26 people hailing from different parts of the State who had participated in the Tablighi Jamaat at Delhi’s Nizamuddin.
On Tuesday morning, Tripura was alerted from Delhi and informed it was informed that 22 people from Tripura were present at Nizamuddin religious congregation.

However, the State Government, there were 26 people from the State who had participated at the Tablighi Jamaat.

After that the state administration started finding them out.

Till Wednesday night, all the 26 people were traced who attend the programme at Nizamuddin and sent to institutional quarantine.
This was confirmed by sources in the Health and Family Welfare department on Thursday.
Altogether 44 people, along with the participants and the family members were indentified and shifted to quarantine.

They all were tested on Wednesday, but the reports are yet to arrive.
A police officer said, among the 26, who participated in Nizamuddin programme, 12 people who have been taken into custody from Jogendra Nagar based Jame mosque hailed from Assam.
The others have mixed domicile background.

Some people belonged to Mumbai, Delhi and Tripura too.
All of them have been lodged into institutional quarantine at Bhagat Singh Yuva Awas.

Meanwhile, separate medical teams had been spotted on Thursday conducting search operations in all the minority- dominated areas of the State.
