Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal will visit Chirang district on Wednesday to take stock of the situation over coronavirus combat preparedness in the district.
During his visit, he will hold meeting with the district administration, district police authorities, officials of Health and Family Welfare department, Food and Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs, District Rural Development Agency, Agriculture, Veterinary, Public Health Engineering and PWD.
Sonowal will also inspect JSB Civil Hospital which is transformed into quarantine centre for treatment of coronavirus patients.
Later, the chief minister will address the media on the overall coronavirus situation in the State.
According to the district Health department as on Tuesday, out of 1848 home quarantined people 1751 have already been passed 14 days quarantine period without any symtom of coronavirus in the district.
