A 29-year-old woman from Jarku, who was admitted on Friday, delivered a healthy baby after undergoing Lower Segment Caesarian Section (LSCS) operation.

Both the mother and the baby are doing fine, officials said.

In another case, a 35-year-old woman from Aalo, who was admitted on October 15 last, also underwent an LSCS operation.

A team of doctors, led by gynecologist Dr Binpi Karlo, conducted the operations.

On Friday, a 38-year-old woman underwent surgery and delivered a healthy baby.

“These were tough procedures with suffocating and poor visibility, as the doctors and nurses had to wear PPEs,” said East Siang district medical officer Dr Kaling Dai.

He congratulated Dr Karlo and the team for saving lives by risking their own lives.
