To mark the 149th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi (Gandhi Jayanti) on Tuesday, Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein distributed fruits among the patients and planted saplings in the District Hospital, Namsai on Tuesday.
Informing this on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Arunchal Pradesh Deputy CM Mein stated: “Distributed fruits to the patients & planted avenue trees in the premises of the District Hospital, Namsai as a part of Gandhi Jayanti.”
The State Deputy Chief Minister also lauded the initiative of Believers Eastern Church, Diocese of Changlang in cleaning up the hospital premises on the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanti.
“I commend the Believers Eastern Church, Diocese of Changlang for voluntarily taking up cleanliness drive in the hospital premises,” Mein further tweeted.
In his another tweet, Arunchal Pradesh Deputy CM Mein stated that he participated in the mass cleanliness drive at Lekang as a part of Swachhata Hi Seva. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for turning the cleanliness drive into a mass movement across the country.
Men tweeted: “Took part in the cleanliness drive at Lekang today as a part of Swachhata Hi Seva, a massive cleanliness drive that was organized across the Nation to mark the Gandhi Jayanti. Thanks to PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji for the initiative & turning cleanliness into a movement.”
