Home remedies for every type of beauty woes are now coming up one day or the other in social media.

From beauty influencers to health experts, every person claims this or that home remedy as old goldies or heritage treasures passed by ancestors.

However, are all home remedies actually safe for beauty woes?

According to dermatologist, Dr. Aanchal Panth, all home remedies are not supper effective and also very harmful for the skin too

Here is a list of some home remedies which are actually good or bad for beauty woes according to her-

1. Green tea bags on eyes

It is a good home remedy as caffeine can narrow the dilated blood vessels responsible for causing dark eye circles and improve their appearance. Due to the constriction of blood vessels, puffiness is reduced and moreover warm green tea bags can help release oils from the meibomian glands, improving tear quality and moisture retention and thereby ease dry eye symptoms

2. Beetroot glycerine mask

Although it is touted as an instant skin glow treatment which can be easily done at home, beetroot has high content of pigments leaving a faint or prominent reddish hue on the skin and mostly it makes the skin prone to photosensitivity leading it to get sunburns easily

3. Moong dal scrub

This is not at all a good home remedy as exfoliation with it can cause severe dryness which may ultimately result in rashes, allergies or itching

4. Ghee on lips

A natural lip balm, ghee can penetrate deeply in the soft skin layers of lips offering deep hydration and nourishing it due to its rich fatty acids and vitamins A, D, E, and K.

5. Cold Rose Water Spray

A natural toner , cold rose water spray is an excellent home remedy as it balances skin pH, minimizes pores, sets makeup, and also calms redness from sunburns or irritation.

6. Orange Peel Scrub

A harmful product to use in skin are orange peels and scrubbing with it can cause skin irritation, dryness, redness, and inflammation, particularly in individuals with sensitive skin, due to its high citric acid content.
