Popular multi-speciality health care unit Apollo Hospitals has launched an online self-assessment test that can help a person to know the risk level of contracting COVID-19.

The risk-assessment test known as Coronavirus Risk Scan is an AI-designed module based on advice from the World Health Organization and the Union ministry of health and family welfare.

“Coronavirus Risk Scan by Apollo is designed to decrease the paranoia by generating a risk score based on your current symptoms. This will clear your doubts on whether you have or are likely to contract the novel,” Apollo Hospitals tweeted.

To take the test, one must go to the website covid.apollo247.com

After going to the website, a message will appear which states, “Hi! Our coronavirus disease self-assessment scan has been developed on the basis of guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MHFW), Government of India.”

“This interaction should not be taken as expert medical advice. Any information you share with us will be kept strictly confidential,” it states.

Eight questions will be asked as a part of the online test ranging from age, gender, current body temperature, symptoms relating to coronavirus, travel and exposure details and present health conditions.

The test then offers awareness by risk scoring the answers to the questions, helping users to know their risk level.

It also provides advice on what can be done to improve one’s health in addition to precautionary measures against coronavirus.
