Apollo Hospitals Guwahati celebrated International Nurses Day-2018 on Saturday with the theme ‘Nurses a voice to lead- Health is a Human Right’.
Lamp lighting along with a cultural programme was organized at the hospital premises.
Apollo Hospital Guwahati, recently got accreditation for teaching super specialty post graduate medical courses in Gastroenterology, General Medicine and Pediatrics.
National Board of Examinations, Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare granted the accreditation for teaching these courses.
The hospital has been allotted one primary DNB seat in general medicine department and pediatrics each, two seats in gastroenterology department, and one secondary DNB seat in pediatrics as well.
Super specialty DNB courses in Nephrology, Critical Care Medicine, and Neurosurgery and specialty DNB in Anaesthesia are in process.
Apollo Hospital Guwahati is the only centre in the northeastern region which has super specialty course in gastroenterology. Two students have already joined the department. The department is a pioneer in the field of super specialty care.
