After detection of a cancer patient tested positive on Monday, three more persons tested positive for COVID19 at Mumbai Mizoram House on Saturday.
The new COVID19 case were detected after a team of officials from Maharashtra health department, as instructed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation collected samples from those who were residing with the COVID19 positive patient.

“Nasopharyngeal swab samples were collected from 20 individuals, and results of three turned positive,” Mizoram health minister Dr R Lalthangliana said on Saturday.
The three new COVID19 positive cases include two males and one female.
While two of them are cancer patients, one is an attendant of a cancer patient.

The Mizoram health minister, on hearing the news of detection of three more COVID19 positive cases in Mumbai Mizoram House, immediately called his counterpart in Maharashtra, Rajesh Ankushrao Tope.
He appealed to Maharashtra health minister Tope take care of the new COVID19 positive patients and make arrangement of their treatment.
The Maharashtra government immediately swung into action and facilitated transfer of the new positive cases to Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai.
All of the three patients are reported to be stable.
Following the detection of three more COVID19 positive cases in Mumbai Mizoram House , all the residents, who have not tested so far, will be immediately tested.
Dr Lalthangliana said at this stage, it is difficult to ascertain how the virus could infect those residing in Mumbai Mizoram House.
He appealed to the citizens not to pinpoint and blame the first positive case.
The Mizoram health minister said: “There is no proof that the first patient was the one who spread the virus among the others.”
Stating that kindness and sensitivity was the need of the hour, the health minister appealed to the citizens to remain calm and refrain from posting hurtful and inflammatory posts on the social media.
He also reminded the citizens to respect the privacy of COVID19 positive patients during this difficult time and refrain from disclosing their names, photos and any other details on any social media and other platforms.
It was earlier reported that Mumbai Mizoram House was accommodating 16 cancer patients along with 32 attendees.
Mumbai Municipal Corporation health officials conducted a thorough inspection of the House on April 14, 2020 after which nasopharyngeal swab samples were collected from those who were staying in the House.
The health minister said the condition of the first Mumbai Mizoram House COVID19 positive case is stable and that she hasn’t experienced fever after being admitted to the hospital.
She is currently being treated at the general ward in the hospital.
Her husband has tested negative and is presently staying at the Salvation Army Red Shield Hostel in Mumbai.
