Guwahati: With Durga Puja celebrations being just a day away, the district administration and traffic department in Guwahati, Assam have issued various traffic restrictions and guidelines.
To ensure public safety and facilitate smooth passage for emergency vehicles, traffic restrictions have been announced from October 9 to October 13, 2024.

Goods-Carrying Vehicles Restrictions
All goods-carrying vehicles can enter the city only between 4 AM and 12 Noon during this period.
No Entry Restrictions
Multiple areas will have no entry restrictions from 2 PM to 2 AM, including:
- Dispur PS Area: Dr RP Road will be one-way from Ganesh Mandir to Ganeshguri Byover.
- Basistha PS Area: Pir Azan Fakir Road will be one-way from Beltola Tiniali to Jayanagar Chariali.
- Bharalumukh PS Area: No entry from Fatasil Chariali, Railway Gate No. 6, 7, 8, and Sati Jaymati Road.
- Jalakbari PS Area: No goods-carrying vehicles from Paltanbazar, Fanbazar, Fatasil, and Bharalumukh.

- Panbazar PS: No vehicles from MS Road towards H.B. Road or Gate No. 4.
- Chandmari PS/Gertanagar PS: No entry from Anuradha Point to Hatigarh Chariali.
- Noonmati PS Area: Vehicles are allowed only from Hatigarh Chariali.
- Latasil PS: No vehicles on FC Road between High Court Point and Latasil Chariali.
City Bus Routes
Modified routes for city buses include:
- Basistha Mandir to Dharapur: Via Basistha Chariali, Khanapara Rotary, and GS Road.
- Adabari Bus Stand to Lalganesh: Via Maligaon Kachari, Chandmari flyover, and Zoo Road.
Commercial Passenger Vehicles
Commercial vehicles with All Assam Tourist Permit will terminate at Adabari bus terminus or ISBT, Betkuchi, depending on their origin.
