Guwahati: Doctors at Peerless Hospital Guwahati in Assam on Thursday urged people to adopt practical health resolutions in the New Year to cut down medical emergencies and improve overall well-being.
Emphasising preventive healthcare, specialists advised citizens to undergo annual health check-ups, particularly to detect lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and heart ailments at an early stage. They said regular monitoring of vital health indicators helps prevent serious complications later in life.
The doctors also highlighted the growing importance of mental health and called on people to pay attention to emotional well-being, manage stress and seek professional help when needed. They stressed that mental health deserves the same priority as physical health.
