Guwahati: A man from Tripura was arrested from the Guwahati Railway Station in Assam with a consignment of 6000 contraband Yaba tablets.
A team of the Government Railway Police based on inputs carried out a checking on the Deoghar Weekly Express on Sunday.

The train was stationed at the Guwahati Railway Station at the time.
During this operation, the police came across a suspicious person identified as Golab Hussain, a resident of West Tripura.

On checking him, the police found 30 packets of suspicious tablets.

The tables were later found to be Yaba tablets.
The person was immediately arrested after the discovery of the items.
He was travelling from Agartala to Cooch Bihar, police said.
Further investigations have been initiated.
