Guwahati: A police team apprehended a suspected drug peddler in Guwahati, Assam on Wednesday.
A police source said that the suspect was arrested from the Maligaon area based on inputs with the officials of the Jalukbari Police Station.

The apprehended suspect was identified as 25-year-old Akash Paswan.
He was nabbed “red-handed” while allegedly selling contraband in Gate No. 1 in Maligaon on Wednesday evening, the police said.

The police recovered 61 vials containing a suspected “heroin-like substance”, weighing approximately 82 grams, from the accused’s possession.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the arrested individual.
