Guwahati: Another water pipe burst was reported in Guwahati, Assam on Sunday morning.

This time the incident was reported near the DC office in the Hengerabari area.

However, no casualties or injuries have been reported, but the incident caused significant flooding as thousands of litres of water spilt onto the road.

Officials are currently investigating the cause of the burst.

In May 2023 a massive pipeline burst caused widespread damage and tragically claimed the life of one woman in the Kharguli area.

That incident involved a forceful gush of water spewing from a broken pipe, resulting in injuries and property damage.

This recurring issue raises concerns about the condition of Guwahati’s water supply infrastructure.
