Guwahati Municipal Corporation hosted a civic dialogue ‘Ward Talks’ at Smriti Sangha in Swahid Nagar under Ward No. 22. Residents of Noonmati refinery and Swahid Nagar Hills participated in the dialogues.
The discussion was chaired by ward councillor Rajen Das, Area Sabha Member Manoj Kumar Nath, GMC Assistant Engineers Chittaranjan Dutta and Sankar Medhi and GMC Sanitation Supervisor Sanjay Malakar.
The GMC Officials present at the event said the wet waste would be collected every day and the dry waste would be collected on Tuesdays and Fridays by the Corporation.
They also requested the locals to download the Swachhata App to enable the people to capture and upload pictures of improper collection of garbage and other issues directly onto the app.
The GMC officials appealed to the residents to participate in the upcoming Swachh Survekshan 2018 and help the administration create a better and cleaner Guwahati.
