The All Tajang Youth Association (ATYA) of the traditional tribal village of Tajang in Ziro valley of Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday seized 52 numbers of .22 gun live cartridge, eight numbers of live gun cartridge, one torch Light and two numbers of cartridge bags, during forest patrolling from Ring Road area of Tajang village at Ziro.

ATYA advisor Rubu Tadii informed that the recoveries belonged to hunters who, however, could not be apprehended.

The union has been actively involved in preservation of nature in the area and was also recognised by Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner during last Republic day for its contribution in the field of wildlife and forest conservation.

The recoveries are being handed over to the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) at Ziro.
