Two miscreants nabbed for illegally cutting trees in Bajali.

Pathsala: After receiving complaints from various nature lovers and environmentalists, the forest department has arrested two persons for illegally cutting several trees.

Recently, a group of people illegally cut several trees in the Bichan Kuchi area near the Kaldiya River in Assam’s Bajali district.

The arrested duo was involved in illegally cutting several trees on government land.

The accursed have been identified as Achyut Roy and Hiranya Roy of Bisan Kuchi village of the same district.

As per reports, on Monday field officer of disaster management Sankar Nath witnessed a few miscreants cutting down several trees illegally and later he informed the forest officials.

However, the miscreants managed to flee from the spot by wearing masks with tractors and cutter machines before the forest officials could nab them.

After the incident, numerous protests were raised and strict action was demanded action.

Finally, the forest development officials from the region were able to apprehend them.
