Parmila Chhetri is preparing hard for the upcoming Fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018 to be held in Mumbai. She has been crowned as Fbb Colors Femina Miss India Sikkim 2018 recently on March 22 in Kolkata.
22-years-old Parmila is from Sangkhola in East Sikkim. She has completed her graduation in tourism from Sikkim Government College, Tadong. She was in top five in Miss Sikkim 2017 and was selected for north east zonal round along with other 5 models from the State in the screening of Miss India Sikkim. In the north-east zonal round at Guwahati, she has been adjudged Miss India Sikkim 2018 to represent Sikkim in the Fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018 to Mumbai.
Speaking to media in the capital, Parmila expressed her happiness on getting the opportunity to represent Sikkim in Fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018 contest. “The competition will be tough among the best from every state in the country and this is a new challenge for me but I will give my best to make my state proud in this prestigious contest,” she said. She has been presently grooming herself in speaking skills, fitness and other areas for the competition.
She is scheduled to leave for Mumbai for the contest after one month.
Parmila expressed her desires to be a successful model and an actress in the near future.
A Gangtok-based event management firm, Positude has been helping Parmila to prepare for Fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018. Positude has been organizing Miss Sikkim contest in the State.
Positude CEO, Gyurmila Bhutia expressed her happiness on another model from Sikkim who has made it this far in this prestigious contest. “Parmila has a lot of potential and always tries to learn and with little grooming and encouragement she can do well in the contest,” she said. She also thanked Sang-Martam Area MLA, Dr Mechung Bhutia and former Minister and social worker, T Lachungpa and a designer, Tshering Dolma for their support to Parmila.
She stated that Positude has always been working to promote local models in the higher levels. However, she stressed upon the need of more sponsors to help local models to send in the higher levels.
