Brahmaputra Ethnic Fest

Tezpur is set to host the Brahmaputra Ethnic Fest 2018 from February 1-4 at Jahajghat.

United Assamese Youth Club has taken up the initiative to organize the fest and market it in a way of generating tourism opportunities for the small town.

The river festival is organized with the aim of raising awareness about devastation by floods and landslides in the area surrounded by the Brahmaputra. The organizers want to create awareness among the people through entertainment.

The proceeds from the River Festival will be donated for the aid of people affected by the floods.

Art Competition, Talent Hunt for Children, Elephant Safari, Kite Festival, Fashion Show, Ethnic Food Festival will be some of the highlights of the three day extravaganza.

This year, the main attraction of the festival is the inaugural concert in which beloved Assamese singer Zubeen Garg will perform.
