Assam Tourism Brand Ambassador and Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra would be visiting Sikkim on December 6 next to promote the Nepali feature film Pahuna, produced by her production house Purple Pebble Pictures. The film was exclusively shot in Sikkim and has already won accolades in various national and international film festivals.
A report published in the SIKKIM EXPRESS stated that Tourism Minister Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia announced Priyanka’s visit before a gathering at Saramsa near Gangtok on Monday.
The report further stated that the minister also informed that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who was earlier scheduled to visit Sikkim during the Red Panda Winter Carnival, will now visit the State around Christmas later this year. Dutt would sensitise the youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse and also talk about youth empowerment.
Chief Minister Pawan Chamling had last month shared that the Sikkim Government has approached Sanjay Dutt to be the Brand Ambassador in the State Government’s campaign against drug abuse.
