Popular American rock band Steelheart steals the hearts of music lovers during their debut India gig on the opening day of five-day ShiRock 2018, a rock band competition of 20 bands of the North-east which is emerging as the most popular destination for international rock bands at Manipur’s Ukhrul town, 84 km north east of Imphal on Tuesday night.

Steelheart –the brainchild of its frontman Miljenko Matijevic belted out more than a good number of songs including their populars like ‘She’s gone,’ ‘Angels Eye’, ‘My pretty girl,’ ‘You twisted me‘ etc during the show at the small hill town which hosts second state level Shirui Lily festival from April 24 to April 28.

Rhythm guitarist Uros Raskovski, lead guitarist Rev Jones and drummer Mike Humbert also played a key role in entertaining Tuesday night’s show.

Shiuri Lily festival aims to spread awareness about conservation of the endangered Shirui Lily and promote the district of Ukhrul as a tourist destination in the North-east.

The opening day of the rock fest also saw Guru Rewben Mashangva, the folk music player cum singer and Shanchuiphy Keishing, winner of Tribal Euphony Season-I performing at the historic musical event.

The present Steelheart line up is Miljenko Matijevic– lead vocals, rhythm and acoustic guitar,Uros Raskovski – lead and rhythm guitar, Rev Jones – bass and Mike Humbert – drums, percussion.

The other good news for the rock lovers during the ShiRock is that Steelheart will be joined by their countrymen and legendary rock band Queensryche which is one of the leading metal band through the eighties and nineties, on the final day of the festival on April 28.
