Papon releases song on Earth Day to spread hope amid COVID19 pandemic

Bollywood singer from Assam, Angaraag Papon Mahanta came up with a new song Paar Hobo XeiXomoy (This Too Shall Pass) on the occasion of International Earth Day.

Apart from entertaining millions of his fans during the period of nationwide lockdown, the singer wishes to spread notes of positivity through his new song in this time of gloom caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The song has been released in the singer’s YouTube channel Papon and it has already garnered over 12,000 views till now.

The song has been created, performed and shot solely by the singer himself.

“This is a song I created, performed, and even shot the video on my own during this lockdown. Something I never imagined of doing all by myself. This lockdown has also taught us a few extra things,” said Papon.

“The song is about how to hold on to hope and faith even when all the odds are against you,” the singer added.

After receiving a positive response to his three-day online concert ‘Bohaag 2020’ held on April 14, 15 and 16, Papon decided to come up with the new song.

Bollywood singers like Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghosal, Richa Sharma, Benny Dayal, Shantanu Moitra joined Papon’s online concert on April 15.

Moreover, popular singers from Assam like Zubeen Garg, Zublee Baruah, Antara Nandy, Joy Baruah, Nilotpal Bora, Shruti Goswami and sprint queen Hima Das also joined Papon’s online concert.
