Mumbai: In a significant breakthrough, Mumbai police has apprehended four individuals associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang for allegedly plotting an attack on Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

The arrests, made on Saturday (June 01), revealed a plan involving weapons ordered from a Pakistani arms supplier.

An FIR has been filed against more than 17 individuals, including Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, Sampat Nehra, and Goldy Brar.

According to Mumbai police, investigation is underway. Reports claim that jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, his brother Anmol Bishnoi, and partner Goldy Brar, who is based in Canada, conspired to procure sophisticated weapons such as AK-47, M-16 and AK-92 rifles from a Pakistani arms dealer to attack Salman Khan.

The plan reportedly aimed to either intercept Salman Khan’s car or raid his farmhouse. This plan was allegedly formulated a month prior to the arrest of two shooters involved in firing outside Salman Khan’s residence.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna, and Rizwan Khan alias Javed Khan.

According to the police, they had conducted surveillance of both Salman Khan’s residence and farmhouse.

Ajay Kashyap reportedly contacted a person named Dogar in Pakistan via video call to order the weapons.

The Mumbai police received intelligence about the presence of approximately 60 to 70 members from the Lawrence Bishnoi and Sampat Nehra gangs.

These members had come from various locations, including Mumbai, Raigad, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, and Gujarat, to monitor Salman Khan. There were also purported plans to involve minors in the attack.

Authorities stated that the accused had intended to flee to Sri Lanka by boat from Kanyakumari following the attack.
