An FIR has been lodged against the Producer of the Assamese song Jonbil, Simanta Sekhar and Ragini Katuri Priya.
Nabajyoti Barman, a Wildlife Activist and Secretary of Conservation and Research of Bio-Diversity and Environment (CORBIE) NGO has lodged the complaint against the trio for using a ‘Parakeet’ in the video.

The complainant while raising the complaint said that the species of Parakeet used in the video is protected under Schedule of the Wildlife Protection Act 1972.
He further mentioned that the use of wild species which is protected by law is fully a violation of the species rights and it is a threat to the life of the species as well as the ecosystem.
