The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Tuesday declared the results of Higher Secondary Examination 2019 for Science stream.
This year, 88.95 per cent of the students, who appeared in the Class 12 science examination, have cleared the examination.
The TBSE conducted the HS examination for Science, Arts and Commerce streams from March 1, 2019 to April 3, 2019.
Approximately 27,000 students appeared in all the streams.
TBSE board chairman Dr. Bhavatosh Saha announced the results during a press conference.
The results are now available on the official websites – tripura.nic.in, tripuraresults.nic.in, indiaresults.com and examresults.net.
Niranjan Deb, a student of Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan at Agartala, topped the merit list of HS science examination results this year.
Niranjan secured 485 marks out of total 500 with letter of distinction marks in Chemistry (99), Physics (99), Statistics (99) and Mathematics (97).
Second position holder Akash Majumder secured total 472 marks with letter of distinction marks in Physics (98), Chemistry (95), Mathematics (97), Geology (91) and Biology (89).
Following the announcement of the results, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb has expressed warm wishes to all those who have cleared the examination.
Deb on his Twitter handle stated: “Warm wishes to my dear student friends who received their #Tripura Board of Secondary Education 12th Class (Science) exam results today.”
“I acknowledge contribution of their teachers & parents who ensured their success.
“Let us work together for making Tripura a model state,” he added.
Arnab Chowhan of Shishu Bihar HS School stood 3rd by securing total 471 with letter of distinction marks in English (88), Physics (93), Chemistry (93), Mathematics (99) and Statistics (98).
Abir Debnath of Shishu Bihar HS School stood fourth by securing total 470 marks with letter of distinction marks in English (91), Physics (97), Chemistry (95), Geology (94) and Biology (93).
5th position holder Shubham Banik of Umakanta Academy secured total 469 marks with letter of distinction marks in Physics (97), Chemistry (96), Biology (94) and Mathematics (94).
The other position holders are Sagar Paul (6th) of Umakanta Academy, who secured total 467 marks; Supratim Datta (7th), Umakanta Academy, who secured total 466 marks; Pallab Debnath (8th) of BB Institution, who secured total 464 marks.
Three students jointly secured 9th position with 463 marks.
They are Birat Debnath of Golden Valley HS School, Krishnendu Saha of Udaipur English Medium HS School and Rismita Dhar of Dharmanagar Govt. HS School.
Punit Dhar from Chandrapur Govt. HS School secured the 10th position with 462 marks.
Four students in North Tripura have brought laurels to the district by getting place in the list of Top 10.
They are Pallab Debnath (8th), Birat Debnath (9th), Rishmita Dhar (9th) and Punit Debnath (10th).
Pallab is the son of Bijoy Debnath, a resident of Tilthoi village under Juvarajnagar Assembly.
Pallab, while informing that he had taken help of tutors, said he aspires to become an engineer in the future.
Birat wants to become an IAS officer.
However, Rishmita Dhar is yet to take decision on her future endeavors.
