The Don Bosco High School, Hojai organized a programme at the school premises on Wednesday, in a bid to create awareness among the school students about road safety.
The Officer-in-Charge of Hojai Police Station, Kiteshwar Baniya was present at the event as the Chief Guest .
Addressing the students, Kiteshwar Baniya said, “Most of the road accident victims are youth. The rapid increase in vehicle tally and reckless driving on our roads urge the need of such road safety awareness programmes. It is important to make children aware about road safety so that they can lead the society. A small effort towards driving habits improvement will make our State roads more safe and secure.”
Baniya further highlighted the importance of obeying traffic rules and follow safety norms while driving.
he also appealed to the students to acquaint with the traffic rules before driving.
