Guwahati to host second edition of Brahmaputra Literary Festival in February

Guwahati is set to host the second edition of Brahmaputra Literary Festival at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra from February 9 to 11.

Around 120 literary personalities from all over the world will be a part of the upcoming lit fest.

Publication Board, Assam and National Book Trust will jointly organize the festival.

“The festival is going to be the biggest literary festival in the Northeast and one of the biggest festival in the country. This is the second edition of the festival and so we have invited many literary figures to offer our local literary people a platform for interaction,” said an official of the publication board.

College students and teachers have also been invited to interact with reputed literary personalities.

“This will offer an opportunity to our teachers and students to know about reputed literary personalities from close, interact with them and familiarize ourselves with their works,” said the official.

The board aims to make the Brahmaputra Literary festival an attraction for world literature like the Jaipur Literary festival held in Rajasthan.
