The HRD minister earlier announced that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) would conduct the remaining Class 10 and 12 board examinations from July 1-15, 2020.
However, the detailed schedule of the pending board exams will be disclosed on May 18.
Examinations of as many as 29 subjects were deferred due to the nationwide lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with effect from March 24 midnight in view of the COVID19 pandemic.
HRD minister Nishank had earlier announced that the evaluation of answer sheets of 173 subjects would be done by the board examiners in their homes.
The CBSE on Thursday announced that Classes IX and XI students, who failed in their examinations, will be given another opportunity to clear it.
The board also said the decision to extend this one-time opportunity for the current year has been taken in view of the unprecedented situation arising out of COVID19.
