The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to begin the evaluation of answer sheets of Class 10 and Class 12 board exams from Sunday.

Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Saturday said that around 1.5 crore CBSE board exam sheets from around 3000 designated schools will be sent to the residences of the board examiners.

He also said that the board examiners will carry out the evaluation process of the answer sheets in their homes.

Pokhriyal said that the whole process of CBSE answer sheet evaluation should be over within 50 days.

The HRD minister thanked the home ministry for giving permission to carry out the evaluation of answer sheets during the lockdown period.

He also said that the evaluation of answer sheets of 173 subjects would be completed soon.

Pokhriyal on Friday announced that the CBSE will conduct the remaining Class 10th and 12th board examinations from July 1 to 15.

Exams of as many as 29 subjects were deferred in view of the nationwide lockdown announced on March 25. The lockdown was later extended till May 17.
