Established in 1962 by Late Binod Ch Nath, Book Land had a very humble beginning as one of the earliest book sellers and publishing house in this part of the country.

At a time when most of the books were published outside the State and merely sold by the book shops in Assam, Book Land initially took the bold step of involving local authors for publishing high quality text and guide books, especially for college goers.

The quality publications of this house cater to the needs and taste of a wide range of readers- right from pre-school children to adults- and are designed to promote child development, enrich relationships, and foster creativity and imagination.

Today, aided by a highly experienced editorial board and a most efficient team of reviewers, Book Land has earned the recognition of having its books marketed all across the country and even abroad.

The recent publications of this company, targeted at the school students, have received tremendous response at the international book fairs.

More than 500 titles have already been published by this company till date and its books reach out to more than 1200 schools in the North-east alone.
