A total of 141 candidates appeared in the Class X examination and 106 pupils appeared in the Class XII board examination in 2018 from Assam Valley School (AVS).
AVS student Shivangini Sarmah Kashyap topped in Humanities stream in Class XII examination with 98.75 per cent while Shaurya Pratap Singh Rajput topped with 98 per cent in Science stream. Sahil Periwal topped with 96.5 per cent in Commerce stream.

The average aggregate marks of the AVS students in Class XII and Class X examination were recorded with 89.04 per cent and 86.79 per cent respectively this year, as per the information available on the school’s website on May 15.
Sanskriti The Gurukul in Guwahati recorded an average aggregate percentage with 85.51 per cent in Class 12 and 89.76 per cent in class X examinations.
Sanskriti The Gurukul students – Nabaraj Mahanta (98 per cent), Divasjyoti Parashar (97 per cent) and Mihir Khemka (96.5 per cent) shined in Humanities, Science and Commerce stream respectively.
On the other hand, Priyanshi Bhartia (95.8 per cent) topped class X exam in the school.
Meghna Parashar of Shiksha – The Gurukul School shined with 93.8 per cent in Class X examination while Abhay Jain (93 per cent) and Rishabh Gohain (76 per cent) excelled in Commerce stream and Arts stream respectively.
Sakshi Bajoria of Pine Mount in Meghalaya’s Shillong topped the merit list in Class X board exam securing 96 per cent, followed by Trinanda Bhuyan and Laetitia Tariang (both 94.4 per cent).
