An Induction Programme was held on Wednesday at the Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT), Tezpur, for the newly admitted B. Tech students. The event was graced by the newly appointed Principal of the institution, Dr Buljit Buragohain.
On the occasion, Buragohain was felicitated by the former Principal of the institute, Dr RC Goswami. The programme was followed by a ‘Parent-Teacher Interaction’ session and laboratory and central workshop visit.
The institute will continue the Induction Training Programme for the B. Tech first Semester students for the next few days. The institute offers B. Tech programmes in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering with 60, 60 and 30 seats, respectively, of which 20 per cent of the total seats are under Government quota. Few seats are remaining vacant for admission into B. Tech 1st Semester and B.
