Position holders from Lakhimpur

Five students from Lakhimpur district have brought laurels to the district by securing positions in the High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLC) 2020, results of which were declared on Saturday.

The five students, who were able to secure positions in the list of top 10, include Debisma Priya Borah of Gyanjyoti Academy, Narayanpur, who has secured 3rd position.

Ranuj Jyoti Baruah, another student of Gyanjyoti Academy, Narayanpur, has secured 6th position, Abhilasha Dutta of St. Mary’s School, North Lakhimpur, has secured 7th position.

Simran Borah of Brookfield School, North Lakhimpur, has secured 8th position, and Diwiz Bikash of St. Mary’s School, North Lakhimpur, has secured 10th position in the state.

Debisma Priya Borah secured 591 marks (98.5%), out of 600.

Ranuj Jyoti Baruah secured 588 marks (98%), Abhilasha Dutta got 587 marks (97.83%), Simran Borah secured 586 marks (97.67%), and Diwiz Bikash got 584 marks (97.33%).

Speaking to media persons, Debismia Priya, the 3rd ranked holder, said she studied from 6 am to 10 am and again from 6 pm to 10 pm.

She also expressed her aspiration to study medicines in her career.

Ranuj Jyoti, the 6th rank holder, said he had no routine of study but was regular and wished to join the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the future.
