The Secondary Education Board of Assam on Thursday revised the examination date of the high school Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) examination.

It will be held on January 19 next year.

Earlier, the examination was scheduled to be held on December 22 next.

But the same was postponed due the massive protests across the State against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

The TET examination also known as Medium TET for secondary level, will be held in five languages – Assamese, Hindi, Bengali, Manipuri and Bodo.

Due to the alarming situation that prevailed across the state, all the examinations of the educational institutions across the State scheduled to be held from the first- second week of December were postponed and will be held from December 27 next and have been extended till January 2020.
