Assam government for the first time will start tracking regular attendance of teachers in over 2000 elementary schools online from April.
State office of the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) said the elementary schools in Darrang and Morigaon districts that have been brought under the ambit of the tracking process will also get a major boost of digital technology, which will assist the teachers in their administrative work, reports TOI.
“It’s not only a biometric device to track teachers’ attendance, but has lots of features to ease their administrative work. The package to be incorporated in the tablets will enable the teachers of the concerned schools to get their office work done online from their school campus and hence will lessen their load of administrative work,” said Aruna Rajoria, Mission Director SSA, Assam
