HSLC results Dibrugarh
With its pass percentage nearing 80%, Dibrugarh figures among the better-performing districts in the state.

Dibrugarh: Dibrugarh district has emerged as one of the top performing districts in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2026, with a pass percentage of 78.46%, well above the state average of 65.62%, according to results released by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB).

Out of 14,380 candidates from the district, 11,283 cleared the examination. Among them, 4,470 secured first division, 5,281 second division and 1,532 third division, reflecting a strong overall performance.

With its pass percentage nearing 80%, Dibrugarh figures among the better-performing districts in the state. Across Assam, 4,29,249 candidates appeared for the examination, of whom 2,81,701 cleared it.

Officials attributed the districtโ€™s performance to sustained efforts by teachers and school administrations, regular academic monitoring, and improved access to learning resources.

Adding to the districtโ€™s performance, Jia Farha Islam of Little Flower School, Dibrugarh, secured the third position in the state.

A resident of Milan Nagar, Jia maintained consistent academic performance throughout her schooling. She also secured third position in the Integrated Science Scholarship cum Admission Test (INSSAT) 2.0 conducted by Radhakrishna School of Arts, Commerce and Science, earning a full scholarship for the next two years.

Jia prepared without private tuition, relying on guidance from her parentsโ€”her mother supervised her studies, while her father, a teacher, provided academic support. She also used digital platforms as supplementary learning tools and followed a disciplined study routine.

Her achievement, along with the districtโ€™s overall results, highlights Dibrugarhโ€™s growing prominence as an educational centre in upper Assam.
