Guwahati: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) on Thursday (May 9) declared the result of the Combined Competitive Examination (Preliminary) 2023, which was held in March this year.

The exam was held in as many as 116 venues across 32 district headquarters of the state.

Candidates who appeared in the exam can download the result pdf from the official website.

A total of 67,251 candidates applied against 235 posts — Assam Civil Service (ACS), Assam Police Service (APS), Labour Officer, District Transport Officer (DTO), Block Development Officer (BDO), Assam Finance Service, Co-operative Education Officer, Inspector of Taxes and Inspector of Labour among others.

For the Mains examination, a total of 2,898 candidates qualified, and against the posts reserved for women, 719 candidates qualified.

On the other hand, for the posts reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen, 106 and 102 candidates respectively qualified.

Candidates also qualified against the posts reserved for the first time for the Moran-Matak communities with one post each in ACS and APS for Moran and Matak respectively.

For the first time, Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets with carbon copy were introduced for the candidates in the exam. The Mains examination will be held in July this year. Question papers will be set both in English and Assamese answers which the candidates can write in Assamese.
