Arunachal Pradesh government’s Skill Development and Entrepreneurship department signed a MoU with the North East Institute of Fashion Technology (NEIFT), Guwahati for giving air hostess and cabin crew training to 30 candidates.
The Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will sponsor 30 candidates for one-year diploma course in Civil Aviation as air hostess/cabin crew and the NEIFT will provide one-year residential diploma training. The course will start from July.
Around 70 per cent of the trainees will be placed after the training.
The MoU was signed by Madhu K Garg, Secretary Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Vikram Rai Medhi, CEO, NEIFT, Guwahati in presence of Director of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Subu Tabin and Assistant Director J Riba.
The state government has recently announced a new scheme, Chief Minister Yuva Kaushal Yojana, in the Budget 2018-19 to provide high-end training in various sectors to 1,000 students in the current financial year to generate employment.
