Jet Airways has announced to add 15 more weekly flights from Guwahati in an endeavour to provide the people of Northeast with an easy and hassle free air travel experience.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinay Dube, CEO, Jet Airways, said, “Our summer schedule is designed to offer our guests, seamless and nonstop connectivity to the North Eastern region and across India.”
Jet Airways had earlier announced 144 weekly flights this summer with special emphasis to the Northeast region.
Weekly flights would connect New Delhi and Mumbai to Aizawl, Jorhat, Imphal and Silchar. Guwahati will anchor this northeastern push and from here the airline will connect Pune, Kolkata, Bagdogra and Imphal.
The new routes will be from Delhi, it will fly non-stop thrice a week to Aizwal, Jorhat and four times in a week to Imphal, New Delhi-Silchar, among others. It will connect Mumbai to Jorhat and Imphal, with Imphal being also connected to Pune. But these flights will not be direct flights.
