National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala Tripura is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Project Associate in the project entitled “Integration of Multi sensor Earth Observation Data and Artificial Intelligence for crop stress and productivity monitoring of Paddy in Tripura” in 2026.

Emoluments :
a) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who get selection through-
(a) National Eligibility Tests -CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE
or
(b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
b) 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
Essential Qualification :
Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable:
M.E. / M.Tech. or B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering / IT / Civil engineering/ equivalent with Artificial Intelligence / Computer Vision / Geospatial data / any other related
specialization.
Job Roles :
The primary role is to assist in research activities. The research activities will happen under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI) as well Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI).
