Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Instrument Operator and Intellectual Property Officer in 2025.
Name of post : Instrument Operator

Essential Qualification:
Ph.D. degree in Engineering/Sciences in a relevant discipline from a recognised university/ Institution.
or
Master’s Degree in Engineering/Sciences in a relevant discipline from a recognised university/ Institution with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Desirables:
- Proven experience in handling major research/testing equipment (such as listed in Annexure A).
- Must have experience in operating at least three equipment (among those listed in Annexure A) at
a centrally funded research organisation/CIF, CRF or SAIF of autonomous educational
institutions/government research organisation or labs/recognised research laboratory/R&D/R&D
division of Industries. - Experience in maintenance, management and organization of major facilities.
- Proficiency in computer-based office applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Proficiency in preparing test reports.
- Proficiency in noting and drafting in English.
- Upkeep maintenance and management of research equipment.
- Basic understanding of a broad class of research problems in science and engineering.
Salary: Rs. 60,000 /- per month (consolidated), with the possibility of an increase for exceptionally
qualified candidates

Essential Qualification:
a) Graduation/Post Graduation in Science, Engineering, and/or Law from a reputed institute having Intellectual Property, Patents Act, and Rules as one of the subjects.
b) Experience in the field of patent drafting, patent analysis, patent searching, and patent examination, etc., from a reputed institute/ organization for a minimum period of 5 Years and filed a minimum of 30 patents.
Desirable :
a) Research experience: 3 years or more from a recognized university or R&D institute/Academic Institute
b) Qualified Patent Agent and Certification as a Patent Agent (Indian Patent Office)
c) Drafting experience for Patent Applications for India, PCT, USPTO, EP
d) In-depth knowledge of Indian and international IP laws (patents, copyrights, designs, etc.).
e) Proficiency in legal drafting and communication with patent offices.
f) Strong analytical skills and familiarity with technical research outputs.
