Mizoram University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Senior Project Associate (One Position) in 2026 on Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi sponsored research project ‘Development of standardized process for the production of safe and hygienic Mizo fermented mustard (?am-um)’, being implemented by the Department of Horticulture, Aromatic and Medicinal Plants.

Essential qualifications: Master’s degree (minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA) in relevant branch of Biological Sciences along with 04 years (Post PG) R & D experience or also PhD in relevant branch of Biological Sciences.
Desirable qualifications: Candidates with published work/experience in the project area
shall get preference.
Job Responsibilities:
Culture, isolation and characterization (microbial, biochemical and gene based) of microbes involved in production of fermented products. It is obligatory on part of the staff to write research papers on the outcome of the project.
Monthly Stipend: Rs. 42,000 + HRA (9%)
Upper Age Limit: 40 Years
