National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Project Associate-I for the project titled “Design and development of bio-mimetic propeller blades with PBCF technology for minimizing underwater radiated noise” under Technology innovation and development foundation, IIT Guwahati (Project No: TIH/TD/1017) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2026.

Eligibility Criteria :
MTech/ME (or BTech) in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Fluid/ Thermal Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent in Master’s degree (or, 75% marks or an equivalent in Bachelor’s degree).
Desirable Qualification & Experience:
Preference will be given to candidates with working experience relevant to the project. Candidate should have knowledge of CAD Modelling, 3D printing and CFD simulation.
Age limit:
Must not be over 28 years as on 20th March 2026 (relaxation as per the norms/ orders of Government of India).
Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship:
Rs. 37,000/- per month plus HRA / accommodation as per institute norms (with GATE score) and Rs. 30,000/- per month plus HRA / accommodation as per institute norms (without GATE score).
