Name of post : Research Scientist

Salary: Rs. 56,100/- per month + applicable DA, HRA, and self-medical benefits.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years for M.Sc. based posts; maximum 30 years for M.Tech based posts.
Eligibility Criteria :
RS01
- First Class M.Sc./M.Tech/M.Sc (Tech) or Integrated M.Sc in Geology/Applied Geology/Geophysics/Earth Science. Pre-qualification of B.Sc with Geology as Main/Honors subject is mandatory.Minimum 1-year research/work experience in the field of Geo-hazards.
RS02
- First Class M.E./M.Tech and First Class B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology. Minimum 1-year research/work experience in the relevant field.
RS03
- First Class M.Sc./M.Tech in Disaster Management/Geography/Applied Geography/ Geology/ Geoinformatics/Geomatics/Remote Sensing & GIS. Minimum 1-year research/work experience in the field of Disaster Management Support (DMS).
RS04
- First Class M.Sc./M.Tech in Botany/Forestry/Environmental Science/Remote Sensing/ Geoinformatics/Chemistry/Physics/Computer Science with a Graduation degree in Science. Minimum 1-year research/work experience in Geoinformatics.
RS05
- First Class M.Sc./M.Tech in Physics/Meteorology/Atmospheric Science/Earth Systems Science. Minimum 1-year research/work experience in any field of Atmospheric Science.

Salary: Rs.37,000/- per month + applicable HRA and self-medical benefits.

JRF01
- First Class M.Sc./M.Tech in Forestry/Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering/Life Science/Remote Sensing & GIS/Geoinformatics/Computer Science & Engineering/Earth System Science/Chemical Engineering alongside a Bachelor’s Degree in Science.
JRF02
- First Class M.Sc./M.Tech in Physics/Atmospheric Physics/Earth System Science/ Chemistry/ Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science.
JRF03
- M.Sc in Physics/Electronics/Meteorology/Earth Sciences/Atmospheric Sciences OR B.Tech/ M.Tech in Physics/ECE/EEE.

- First Class M.Sc. in Botany/Forestry/Environmental Science. Minimum 1-year experience in plant identification
Selection Procedure :
Candidates may appear for walk-in-interviews on 10th, 11th and 12th August 2026 at NESAC, Umiam, Ri Bhoi District, Meghalaya (85 kms from Guwahati Railway Station and 18 kms from Shillong)
