North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for ongoing
research project entitled “Development of Vegetative Propagation Protocol and Vacuum Freeze Dehydrated Probiotic Powder from Sohiong (Prunus nepalensis) Fruit” funded by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India in 2026.

Essential Qualifications:
First Class M.Sc/M.Tech/Ph.D. in the following disciplines-
Food Engineering and Technology/Food Technology/ Agribusiness Management and Food Technology/ Agriculture Process Engineering/ Bioprocess Engineering and its allied subjects.
Minimum 2-year research experience after master degree.

Desirable Qualifications :
Preferences to one who has minimum 2-year research experience on Sohiong (Prunus nepalensis) fruit processing and value addition after master degree. Working experience on handling analytical equipment like FTIR, DSC, Particle size analyzer, Spectrophotometric, Vacuum freeze dryer, and knowledge in FSSAI, etc. is desirable. At least 4 publications in the Q1 SCI indexed journals.
