North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Junior Resident Doctors and Senior Resident Doctors in 2026.
Name of post : Junior Resident Doctors

Educational qualification :
i. Medical qualification included in the Schedule – I & II of the 3rd Schedule of the Indian
Medical Council Act 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in the part – II of the 3rd schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in section 13 (B) of the Act).
ii. Satisfactory completion of the compulsory internship.
iii. Candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.
Scale of Pay: Level 10 of Pay Matrix with entry pay of Rs.56,100/- plus NPA and other
allowances as admissible under rules.
Age limit : 30 years
Name of post : Senior Resident Doctors
No. of posts : 65
Educational qualification :
i. Post graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) in respective fields/subject after obtaining a medical qualification included in Schedule I & II of 3rd Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualification included in Part II of 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(B) of the Act) Satisfactory completion of the compulsory internship after MBBS.
ii. Satisfactory completion of the compulsory internship after MBBS.
iii. The candidate must be registered with any State Medical Council/NM?.
Scale of Pay: Level 11 of Pay Matrix with entry pay of Rs.67700/- per month plus NPA and other
allowances as admissible under the Central Govt. Rules in identical posts.
Age limit : 45 years
