Manipur University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Field Attendant and JRF in 2026 under the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India sponsored 3-year research project entitled “Genomics-assisted improvement of scented rice from
Assam (Joha) and Manipur for yield enhancement under stress and improved nutrition.”

Qualification & Experience :
Candidates having a B.Sc degree. Proven experience in agricultural farm and greenhouse management with a strong knowledge of rice field level activities/works/skills, etc. required under
the project will be preferred.
Emoluments : Rs. 20,000 + 9% HRA per month as per DST
Upper age limit: 50 years

Qualification & Experience :
Candidates having MSc degree in Botany/Plant Sciences/ Biotechnology with CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or through National level examination conducted by
Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions including Candidates shortlisted under Category-II of the Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2026 notified on 13-06-2026. Candidates with strong proven experience in Plant Molecular Biology and Genomics techniques as desired under the project will be preferred.
Salary : Rs. 37,000 + 9% HRA per month for the 1st two years as JRF and SRF @Rs. 42,000 + 9% HRA per month from the 3rd year
