Manipur University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Research Assistant and Field Investigator in the project titled “Gendered Dimensions of Informal Industrial Sectors: A Study of Stone Crusher Workers in Manipur,” funded by Indian Council of Social Science in 2026.

Remuneration: Rs.37,000/-per month
Essential Qualifications:
Post-Graduation in any Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% (preferably Gender Studies/Sociology). Preferences will be given to candidate with NET/M.Phil/Ph.D.
Desirable: The candidates with past research experience with prior fieldwork experience or in-depth knowledge of gender studies, data handling, and knowledge of statistical analysis tools (esp. SPSS)

Essential Qualifications:
Graduate in Social Science with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference to candidates with four-year graduation programme.
Desirable: Having field work experience and good communication skills (Manipuri and English).
