Tezpur University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Field Assistant in the project entitled “The creation of speech corpora (spontaneous) in Ao (Chungli), Angami, Chokri, Kheza, Sangtam, Pochuri, Tikhir, Yimkhiung, Phom, Chang, and Khiamniungan for the spoken language recognition task, along with the generation of lexical items (most commonly used) with their orthographic and semantic representations for these languages” in 2026.

Qualification:
BA/B.Sc. in Linguistics/English and Allied subjects.
Desirable:
(1) Candidates are to carry out tasks of recording speech data in the Field (Nagaland), IPA transcriptions of speech data as and when required, and create basic grammar and phonological structure of the target languages.
(2) Native speakers of the target languages possessing basic knowledge of Linguistics are preferable.
Remuneration:
Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) only per month (consolidated, excluding the 18% GST amount)
Age:
Below 35 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit is relaxable as per Government of India rules
Selection Procedure :
