Assam University Silchar is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Project Assistant in 2026 in ANRF-ARG project titled “Taxonomic investigation on Indian Cirsium Mill. (Asteraceae: Cardueae) highlighting morpho-anatomical studies of cypsela traits” under Prof. Debjyoti Bhattacharyya (Principal Investigator) in the Department of Life Science and Bioinformatics

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Science with Botany as compulsory subject.
Desirable Qualification:
Preference to candidate(s)having M.Sc. degree in Botany with specialization in Plant Taxonomy. The candidate should also possess computer knowledge with statistical data handling skill and understanding on molecular taxonomic tools.
Fellowship: Rs. 27000/- + HRA (as admissible)
Upper age limit: 35 years (Age relaxation for reserved and other categories will be as per Government of India rules)
